Slated to open on October 30 (this year) in Abu Dhabi, the from New York based Asymptote Architecture presenting a 500-room hotel, spreading in85,000-square-meter complex, is set to redefine luxury and modern architecture. Hailed as “Yas Hotel,” the luxury complex is a component of the ambitious 36-billion-dollar Yas Marina Development project. Featuring a 217-meter expanse of sweeping and curved forms, finished with steel and 5,800 pivoting diamond-shaped glass panels, the hotel seems to draw inspiration from the veil, worn by the inhabitants all across the Arabic World. Comprised with two towers, linked by a bridge, the marvelous architecture not just flaunts a luxurious retreat amid the desert, but it fulfilling most of its energy requirement also helps in sustaining the environment.
