The Green Watch keeps watch on Paris’ pollution
Naresh Chauhan | Jun 4 2009

Conceived by the Fing Foundation under the program Cities 2.0 of Fing (Fondation internet nouvelle génération), the “Green Watch” is an innovative timepiece that integrates environmental sensors to monitor and visualize the aggregated data (on a public site) of the environmental quality of the city of Paris. This will encourage the residents to play an active part in sustaining the environment of the city. Composed of a watch and two environmental sensors (ozone, noise), the green watch collects the data to be broadcasted, through a mobile phone, to an open platform (dubbed Citypulse) which receives, stores and makes measures of the available data, which can further be displayed on maps and models. The Green Watch is definitely an innovate yet noble project dedicated to improve the environment. Check out the video after the jump.
