Despite all their positive uses, UV rays (natural or artificial) remain very harmful for anyone who spends a large amount of time in the sun without proper protection. But it becomes difficult to detect UV rays until they harm the eyes, hair or skin. Providing a solution, French designer Julien Bergignat teaming up with L. Charron-Huysecom has designed a badge called “Tarius” that detects UV rays for people who work in conditions exposing them to UV rays or light. Finished in Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), the device can be clipped onto a jacket or hose to keep workers informed about the rays and take preventive measures in time.
