Considering the fact that the kids learn more from a picture or physical object than cramming a book, the “Talking Pictures” (TP) is a unique toy (rather device) that lets you draw and use photos to teach your children. The interactive gadget pairs an image with its relative sound, which can either be prerecorded onto a removable memory card or recorded by the user, so the children could recognize and connect the object with its unique features.
Comprising a console and sets of RFID stickers, with each sticker placed on the back of a photographic print, the device can teach new vocabulary, but only after a kid starts speaking. “When the photo is placed on the console, a sensor reads the RFID chip. Pushing the button on the front of the console then plays the appropriate sound stored in the console’s memory.” Moreover, the TP console can teach foreign languages to older children.
