Sternum Coffee Table embodies brilliant craftsmanship of David Ebner

The Sternum Coffee Table is indeed a product of a creative genius. The picture above is one of the two rare coffee tables made by David Ebner, a renowned American maker of Studio Furniture, during the American Craft Movement in 1980. Wow! That makes this elegant piece of furniture an antique item as well. It is old, but for me it doesn’t look so. Infact it looks as if it is just another example of contemporary, designer table. Made of zebrawood (wonder what that is) and glass, this coffee table can enhance the sophistication of the room where it will be placed. Though neatly curved out and well-maintained for so many years, the glasses are scratched they say. Oops! Who will want to get hold of a defective item, however precious it is from historical point of view? Maybe a museum owner/antique collector would be interested.
