Shooting Star takes clamshell phone to new heights
Naresh Chauhan | Apr 27 2009

Refurbishing the classic clamshell phone, the Fuse Project has designed an innovative as well as intuitive cellphone called the “Shooting Star” that promises to create a new consumer experience. Outfitted with a 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 player, multitasking, electronic dictionary and text viewer functions, the Pantech phone presenting a new gesture for the 90° opening rotation encourages tactile interaction. Drawing inspiration from a spacecraft, the clamshell phone comes with a unique drop-shaped hollow center, which creates an easy-to-hold surface to commence the rotation. Moreover, users can effortlessly reach out the diverse functions of the Shooting Star, thanks to its clear one-touch key.
