Design evokes thought when it portends rarity. When you ask me to choose something that personifies the aforesaid notion, I do not have to look beyond the Discovery Bike. A thought that chooses to be different in its lighting and although its looks give a feeling that it isn’t a true commuter, Taiwanese designer Eric So gave it the ability to move as well. Presented at the 12th annual International Bicycle Design Competition, the Discovery Bike comes with a detachable front light that can be used as a separate doodad. That apart, it even scores high on creativity with a diamond shaped frame adoring it in the centre.
