Sebastian Gronemeyer's cantilevered W-Chair
Vinod | Dec 24 2007

The W-chair, created by German designer, Sebastian Gronemeyer is creating much buzz. This cantilevered chair is made to be rigid in the bottom part while having a good amount of flex in the backrest. This allows the round curves to smoother your body as you lean back. The W-chair is constructed from either molded reinforced fiberglass, a folded single sheet of aluminium or laminated wood. It comes in a wider variety of colors and sizes just like humans.

Designer Sebastian Gronemeyer’s creations reflect much unique inspirations. For instance, the orchid chair designed by him comes from the delicate forms of orchid leaves. All his designs are made to be ergonomic. The seats and backrests are slightly flex to really mount you in when you sit. The furniture is also made of strong and turdy material to enhance durability.

His latest design, the W Chair is named as such because of its shape. Definitely an eye catching piece I could see fit in well with both modern and traditional homes. The next time you think of changing your furniture, why not consider the ergonomic, yet trendy German design. People are bound to be awed by the contemporary design of the furniture.
