Pli table lamp doubles as a ceiling lamp
Naresh Chauhan | Sep 25 2009

Presenting a simple yet effective design, the “Pli” by designer Julien Bergignat is a minimalist lamp that gives the reflection of an eco-device. Carved out of a single sheet of thermoformed plastic, or folding steel sheet, or bentwood, the table lamp by the French designer makes use of cut and folding techniques to assemble the lighting. While the cable passes through the lamp, like stitches, and holds the bulb firmly without any screw and glue. The lamp also features a hole at the rear, so when required it could be mounted on the wall and used as a ceiling lamp. A lighting object cannot be as simple and flexible as the Pli lamp.
