While searching for an unique or innovative product design, designers sometimes overexert their brilliance and end up with a design that turns into a creation of aesthetic pleasure, but of least utility. Phantom R-300 is a similar bike design that looks wonderful at first sight, but makes little sense for production engineers and companies. Taking a cue from the 70’s Hercules Wankle, the rotary motorcycle comes with no steering bars, which practically isn’t possible as the front light or handlebar part won’t be able to sustain the weight of the rider.
Design Status:
Phantom R-300 is just a concept bike now and possibly will remain a concept in the future as well, for the design looks too weird to slot in required parts and come into production.
