Standing out at the Milan furniture fair 2008 is this outstanding piece of vision from Christoph Klemmt. Not only is this structure aesthetically imposing but also eco-friendly as it operates solely on solar energy! This structure which can be placed in your courtyard will turn coloured on being exposed to sunlight during the day and by the night it will absorb enough energy to light up the LEDs installed all over its surface. This is what he likes to call the photovoltaic chandelier that doesn’t stick to the conventional yellow lights generally associated with a chandelier, and yet can illuminate an entire courtyard. Ran Ankori, Francesco Brenta, Maya Carni, Laura Micalizzi and Elisa Oddone collaborated immensely with Klemmt on this project and looks like the hardwork has paid off for in the end it is leaving every onlooker dazzled.
