Nokia Health Guard: Screen Saver for senior citizens
Asmita | Feb 16 2008

Memory loss is a common old-age problem. And in order t make the elderly more independent yet safe designers Marcela Kawka and Izabela Cichecka have come up with a unique gadget called the Health Guard. The two-piece Nokia-compatible unit features RFID tags that monitor everything the seniors consume (medicine, food products, etc) and its detachable RFID reader can be taken to the local store to remember what to get. The monitoring station also features a touch display with easily recognized universal icon as well as a memo pad and message recorder. With this baby around, grandparents will never have to call up people to ask for what-is-that-damn-thing-called again!
