Nifty futuristic keyboard design
Gabriel A | Jun 12 2008

There have been many innovative keyboard designs ranging from the flexible rollups to the the solid foldups. However, newer and more technologically advanced concepts have completely redefined designs, succeeding in taking the ‘key’ out of ‘keyboard’. These designs use optical sensing to ’see’ the position of the fingers as they touch the ‘key-less board’ and translate it to the computer as keystrokes. Among these, one of the more creative ones is made by revolutionary designer Kong Fanwen. It is as beautiful to look at as it is amazing to grasp. His No-Key Keyboard is a glass surface with the form of the keys etched in, with a motion capture camera mounted atop it which tracks the motion of the fingers and translates it to the computer. Now my only question is, how soon can I get one, so I can impress all the girls at the office with it.
