New water fountain in Dubai to shoot Bellagio fountains out of the top

By now we’re used to see record breaking construction projects in Dubai. The record breaking world’s tallest hotel -Burj Al Arab, the world’s tallest building -Burj Dubai, and the artificial Palm Islands and also the islands “The World”. In Dubai, every construction record that can be broken is being broken. So it comes as no surprise to find out that Dubai is proposing to build the world’s largest water fountain. The powerful nozzles shoot water as high as 490 feet (50 storeys), compared with the 460 feet of the Bellagio Fountains. Outdoing the Bellagio further, the proposed fountain will use over 6,600 lights for its show, while the Bellagio uses 4,500.

Besides its size magnitude, the yet-to-be-named fountain also carries artistic merits. Its intricate water pattern and lights would draw eyes from all around, even if it is on a smaller scale. The jets fire in controlled time sequence and varying pressures, at different angles, all for the purpose of making musical shows, where the columns of water move like the lines of music equalizer display. The fountain will certainly be icing to the greatness of the rapid grandification of Dubai.
