GreenShower raises awareness about unnecessary water wastage
Naresh Chauhan | Dec 2 2009

Most of the nations around the world are suffering from a serious water shortage; still we waste a large amount (10-12 liters in a minute) of domestic water in the shower that usually goes to the gutter. In addition, every family wastes 1100 liters water every month just checking the water temperature in the shower system. Working out a solution, Israeli designer Rami Tareef has created a panel shower dubbed “GreenShower” that raises public awareness to the amount of individual water consumption during the shower. The GreenShower comes equipped with a tiny (24V DC) generator that makes it self-reliant and produces electricity from the water flow. It also provides a clear indication on flexible LCD screen (0.3mm) of hot water temperature in the system to avoid unnecessary waste.
