Granite phone: Good looks, great design
Naresh Chauhan | Feb 2 2009

Nature and designers seem to have a very close association, as most innovative designs and artistic creations in one way or the other takes inspiration from vast storehouse of the nature. Taking inspiration from a polished river pebble, designer Sachin Mistry has designed a unique cellphone that looks to explore how plastic can be used in an aesthetic manner. Named ‘Granite,’ the concept phone is comparable to most touch screen phones on the market. Presenting a built-in 3MP camera, 3.1″ touchscreen, a solid state 8 gig drive for music, photo and general data storage, the Granite can be connected to Windows and OSX via Wi-fi and Bluetooth as well. The digital phone just measures 4.75″x 2.3″x0.375” (HWD) and flaunts a glossy finish.

[Thanks Sachin]
