We’ve come a long way from browning our bread and stirring up a cuppa coffee directly on fire! Today’s high-tech kitchen appliances give cooking a whole new meaning. And V-Line is an uber hot concept for dishing out a sizzling breakfast in the most unconventional manner. Featuring a glass toaster on the rear, the front of this cooking gadget includes a induction cooker that can boil your brew simultaneously. The glass element of the toaster is just right for those who end up munching the burned bread as you can keep a watch on how brown you want. Also you can keep your toasties warm on the induction part till you are done with the one in your hand. Designed by Thibault Masclet for Trophies Design De Dietrich 2008, it is mentioned that this V-Line concept is inspired by the rear windscreen of the car. Wonder why?
Overall the designer gets my nod for sure for this high-tech, avant-garde, modish breakfast appliance that doesn’t occupy much space too.
Hey a see-through glass toaster in itself is a great idea, and the designers saw beyond that too...great! I think this can be great while traveling unless it needs electricity.
Have no idea about how it gets juiced up....but doesn’t seem to be a green gadget......so most likely it would be depended on electrical power.
a very neat idea overall, but i have only one doubt...in practical useage, how clean will we be able to keep this gadget. breadcrumbs are notorious for ruining the most perfect toaster and this being glass on one side will definitely look diminished on looks from one side.
Lol.....only we women are think of that cleaning aspect.....I’m sure the designer will offer a specialized cleaning brush or cloth that helps keep it spic and span.
hahahah... good question Radhika and you are right Deepa, if the inventor is a guy, I am sure this thought may not have come across him too :)
But a valid point and may be what you suggested may be the answer...
so 2 questions so far on this design.. anymore coming? ;)
