Elevating Wheelchair is a ‘challenge to our perception of wheelchair users’

Designed as a part of final-year university project, the elevating wheelchair by Jake Eadie, an Australia based designer, is an innovative but at the same time practical way to help and support physically disabled, enabling them to move around and accomplish their routine tasks. Designed to switch between two modes, sitting and standing, the electric wheelchair design is a clear-cut “challenge to the able-bodied people’s perceptions of wheelchair users.” Check out more images after the jump.
