Containership Powersupply keeps wires at bay

Of course you’d like to bury all your wires out at sea. But since you cannot possibly do that (what with the fear of electrocution and all), here’s the next best thing: Containership Powersupply. This little multiple switchboard will keep all your power strips docked nicely in. True, there are several such products out in the market, but rarely do they look as neat and fun as the Containership Powersupply, which by the way is a mock-up of a ship. Containership Powersupply is designed by giffin’termeer and is produced by kikkerland. It goes on display at this year’s ICFF. Measuring in at 400mm x 70mm x 85mm, the ship neatly accommodates all the adapters and cords that are an eye sore in nearly all the contemporary rooms. That being said, the Containership Powersupply also reveals the infrastructure behind the wires and electronics, since several electronic devices are shipped from China. And since Containership Powersupply will itself be produced somewhere in China and then shipped to the US, the product is but a shrunk version of the transport itself. A neat and well thought out solution for a commonplace problem.
