Commissioned by the Formica Corporation, the celebrated design firm SOM has come up with a chaise prototype under the “Dancing Line” that promises to enhance the décor of modern apartments. Featuring a microdot surface texture to prevent slippage, the new furniture line is made of plywood substrate that is finished with the famous white plastic laminate made by the company. The chaise displays an unconventional geometry to blend with its diverse material. In short, the Dancing Line depicting an exceptional flexibility is a unique blend of form and functionality.
