Braille E-Book, a novelty for the visually impaired

Frenchman Louis Braille literally changed the scenario of life for the visually impaired when he devised Braille in 1821, enabling the visually impaired to catch up with the rich literature that otherwise was a distant dream for them. The Braille system is without a doubt ideal for short text publications, but it becomes difficult as well as expensive to print bulky books in the Braille. However, addressing the hitch, a bunch of designers, including Seon-Keun Park, Byung-Min Woo, Sun-Hye Woo and Jin-Sun Park, have devised an innovative gadget dubbed the “Braille E-Book” that stores and prints even hefty manuscripts, which not just helps in saving space but printing costs as well. The Braille E-Book, employing EAP technology that changes the surface pattern through an electromagnetic signal, is simply a cherished gadget for the visually impaired. Check out some of the most useful gadgets (here) for the visually impaired.
