I have a confession. I love eggs. I love eggs in all its forms. I can have eggs for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snack. I also love egg-inspired and egg-related stuff like the beautiful Golden Egg Savings Bank and the disgusting Peter Petrie Egg Separator. And my latest egg find is the lovely Eggy Sink created by German designer Bouchti Amin. The curious design takes a cue from the natural beauty of a perfectly boiled egg cut in half with a horn-shaped faucet installation symbolizing the symbiosis between man, nature and space. By using the figure of one of the most common foods across the world, the designer reinforces the idea of art derived from its natural essence and reflects upon food as being satisfactory to the body as well as to our superior aesthetic senses. perfectly cute diea. i like the 1st design the best. i wish the depression (the ’yolk’) were a little less orange. yolks are more yellowish than orange. details apart, the designs are unique and fun. i would rather have something like that for my kitchen sink rather than as a bath fitting though. the faucets are wonderfully sophisticated too.
