Bonheur modular seat - An infinite variety of combinations
Naveen | Apr 23 2009

Designer: Florence Jaffrain.

Isn’t happiness supposed to feel more like a cocoon than a cage? This was what the designer thought while making the Bonheur seat. “Bonheur” is a French word that means happiness and good humor. Although, the Bonheur seat is not as flexible in its structure, an infinite variety of combinations is imaginable. You can linger into its arms, cuddle up into its womb or do whatever you’d like to. Florence Jaffrain designed this seating unit to rediscover the true meaning and feeling of happiness. Seats with multiple functionalities invite users to center on one’s own needs. It allows you to actively contribute to your own well-being. The Bonheur seat is part of the Bonshommes modular seating family, which is a reflection on our relationship to ourselves and others.

About the Designer: Florence Jaffrain is a product designer based in Paris, France. She revisits everyday objects by assembling materials and playing with forms and light to suggest new kinds of objects that are simple and playful.

Thanks, Florence Jaffrain
