Designed for the BMW Motorrad Innovation Contest 2009, the BMW Halbo by Pierre Yohanes Lubis is a concept bike powered by electricity, which unlike other motorcycles propels its front wheel. The bike uses its sphere rear wheel just for balancing. The rear of the bike is equipped with a ball joint so that it can move freely following the leaning of the front part. The concept is designed specifically for vibrant young people in highly populated cities. Mass transport may be the solution for crowded cities, but with this concept, personal needs can be satisfied without putting the environment in jeopardy.
