B-Touch cellphone doubles as book reader for the visually impaired
Naresh Chauhan | Jun 17 2009

Devised by You Zhenwei, the “B-Touch” is a touchscreen phone that doubles as a book reader for the blind. Perhaps there have been a host of cellphones made for the blind and we’ve seen them around, but this one is based on the touchscreen technology for the blind and thereby uses a touchscreen display for Braille. Including voice systems and programs to function as a phone, the B-Touch also supports a system for navigation along a book reader and an object recognizer. So we also have a book reading facilitator in the phone for the visually challenged, a great introduction never seen before in a mobile phone. Check out the video after the jump.
