9ff revives Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet as Speed9

Inspired by an array of old Porsche convertibles, especially the 997 Turbo Cabriolet, a bunch of engineers at German firm 9ff have designed a more refined and mainstream version with revised front and rear bumpers, deeper sideskirts and a larger rear panel that neatly hides the roof. Entitled the “Speed9 Porsche 997 Turbo,” the new Porsche convertible like most other speedsters features a shorter windscreen. Running on a twin-turbo flat-six cylinder generating 650 horsepower, the Speed9 comes integrated with a pair of 9ff F650 VTG turbochargers, a sports catalytic converter, stainless steel exhaust, sports air filter and reprogrammed ECU. Featuring brakes made up of 380mm carbon discs and 6-piston calipers, the new convertible modifies the chassis to integrate adjustable stabilizers at the axle (both front and rear), double springs and four aluminum spring plates, allowing better control at high speeds.
